Position: Information Technology Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Information Technology Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the bank. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunications activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, assisting in the preparation of policy and procedures, auditing, and leading bank-wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology. This person supervises IT and is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of all technology systems that support the bank’s customers as well as end users. This person is expected to learn emerging technologies and resolve any issues involved in integrating innovative technologies with existing systems. The IT Officer is a key technical resource, providing advice, training, and technical support for various projects. This position also works closely with Senior Management and third-party IT support in evaluating current systems and aligning business objectives with the strategy for technology.



Certain requirement and education are necessary in order to manage the role of the Information Technology Manager. Those requirements and educational achievements are listed, but not limited to the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
  • IT Professional Certifications, preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT operating systems, especially Microsoft Windows and FIS core systems.
  • Ability to manage time.
  • Detail oriented with proficient organizational skills.



The Information Technology Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the bank. The following list of specific job functions will be required, in order to effectively manage all areas of responsibility for this position:

  • Assist in the development and growth of the Information Technology Security Program.
  • Supervise and administer Information Technology functions of the bank.
  • Responsible for preparation of Information Technology reports and testing in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Bank’s third-party Information Technology support vendor.
  • Aid the CFO in the annual review, development and implementation of the bank’s fiscal plans and policies.
  • Recommend, as appropriate, operating improvements to achieve bank’s objectives.
  • Oversee training for areas of operation showing deficiencies during audit.
  • Responsible for accurate system and workstation back-up.
  • Assist auditing staff in implementing improvements to efficiencies.
  • Maintain current resources regarding changes to Banking Regulations.
  • Perform other various duties and responsibilities that may be required.
